"As a machinist, mechanic and millwright, (IMHO) it's quite well made for the price. Probably not ideal for anything larger than a 15" laptop, as it would likely become unstable / easily tipped over. But for a 14-15" (like mine) it works great. Appears to be anodized aluminum, if I had to guess. . . the rubber tips on the support legs and the front "fingers" that hold the base of the laptop are a nice touch. The ones in front could be a hair taller, but do the job well enough. 8 - 8. 5/10 buy with confidence."
